My Account button on KRL.org requires patron to log in every time
This is expected behavior. Anytime you use that link, you will be prompted to enter your account information.
I do have several workarounds if you do not want to log back in every time:
- As Priya suggested, rather than navigating away from the catalog to visit Google or other sites, simply open a new browser tab so that your catalog session remains active.
- Bookmark https://catalog.krl.org/ in your web browser and use the bookmark to go back to the Library catalog rather than using the My Account link on the KRL.org homepage. This will remember your session unless you have set your browser to clear its cache upon restart.
- If you like going back to KRL.org to get back to the Library catalog, use the search box rather that the My Account button to get to the catalog. You will need to enter a search term, but if you have recently logged in, it will remember your session.
